Pick the category, enter the sale and see the final value fee, the per-order fee, any international or ad fee, what eBay pays out and your profit. It also works out the lowest price that still makes the profit you want.

eBay final value fees in 2026 (US sellers)

eBay takes a final value fee on the total amount of the sale: item price, shipping and handling the buyer pays, and the sales tax eBay collects. On top of that there is a per-order fee of $0.30 if the order is $10 or less, or $0.40 above $10.

Questions sellers ask

How much does eBay take from a $100 sale?

In most categories, 13.6% of the total the buyer pays plus $0.40. On a $100 item with free shipping and 7% sales tax, the total is $107, so the fee is $14.55 + $0.40 = $14.95. You receive $85.05, because the sales tax goes to the state.

Does eBay charge its fee on shipping and sales tax?

Yes. The final value fee is worked out on the total amount of the sale, which includes shipping and handling and the sales tax. That's why a $10 shipping charge costs you about $1.36 in fees.

Are eBay's payment processing fees extra?

No. Since managed payments, the final value fee and per-order fee include payment processing. There is no separate PayPal fee on eBay sales.

Does eBay charge non-US buyers more?

The seller pays a 1.65% international fee on those sales, unless the item goes through eBay International Shipping. Import duty for the buyer's country is separate: for US imports, see our HS code lookup.
